Jason Mateo is a proud Pilipino American, Arts Educator, and Hip Hop Spoken Word Poet from San Francisco. Raised in Hip Hop’s golden age, Jason knows the foundation and witnesses it’s complexities. Currently living in Oahu, he believes that Hip Hop is perfect for the island since it respects it's originators, inspires new creative ways of living and is as diverse as Oahu's changing population on any given day.
