It's been a while, since there was a good Hip-Hop documentary out. Looks like that is about to change. QD3 Entertainment is finally going to release their film on rockstar rapper Lil Wayne to the public. They debuted it at this year's Sundance Film Festival and reports say the film was well received. After the debut, they met with some resistance from Wayne as he wasn't too happy about some of the footage found in the film. However, that has been cleared up and as a result the documentary is set to hit retailers on November 17, 2009. The documentary takes an honest look at not only the good things like the success of Wayne's music career but the bad too. Like his battle with his heavy addiction to his now infamous cough syrup cup, for example. The film is titled Lil Wayne: The Carter and can be purchased by those who are interested here.
