Before Cee-Lo was with his successful group Gnarles Barkley, he was a heavy-weight hip-hop star and one of the lead members of hip-hop's Goodie Mob.
The Goodie Mob is, arguably, one of hip hop's more cutting edge group from the mid-90's, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Members include Cee-Lo, Khujo, T-Mo Goodie, and Big Gipp. The group chose the name GOODIE MOB, an acronym for "the GOOD DIE Mostly Over Bulls---t" as part of the hip-hop family of lyricists that include Outkast and Parental Advisory.
Goodie Mob fans can relive their 90's love of the group by checking them this weekend for a reunion show where the eccentric Cee-Lo is expected to make an appearance with the rest of the original members. and a guest performance by hip-hop dynamo Scarface.
