Join patrons from around the Key and Kitsap Peninsulas at O'Callahan's quarterly poetry night, more aptly called "Beat Night", on Wednesday, July 28th, starting at 6pm.
Owner Greg Calahan explains this event started three years ago as an idea promoted by Danna Webster and the Key Peninsula Writers Guild.
Webster continues to be involved, inviting participants from as far away as Federal Way and South Seattle. Patrons can enjoy the conga drum beats and music as well as the regular weekly food and drink specials while poets and artists share their talent.
Beat Night is a favorite at O'Callahan's, and the Pub usually fills up fast. Newcomers should expect to arrive early for best seats.
