Hip Hop Artists' Networking Event

In an age where networking is a way for individuals to find jobs, share expertise, and learn more about their niche, it is important to find those networking events that will be beneficial to one's specialization. Hip Hop artists may appear to have a step up in this area given their nature of collaboration; however, it is not often that there is time for these artists to talk about their roots, their goals as an artist, and their specialties outside of hip hop music that can benefit other artists.

Local hip hop artists throughout the northwest now will have their opportunity to meet with other hip hop artists, producers, songwriters, promoters, graphic designers, photographers, tattoo artists, and clothing designers. Destiny City Entertainment will host its annual North West Music and Business Festival on August 12, 2010 at El Potrero in Tacoma, Washington, starting at 11am.

Started in 2008, the event was originally promoted as a swapmeet with local small businesses advertising their trade and has continue to grow.

Community members are invited to meet hip hop artists and get a better understanding of the genre. This will also be a family friendly event with a bar-b-cue, facepainting, and free hot dogs!

The event will conclude with live performances by Mac Wayne, Greg Double G, Z-Dub, Uncle Moo, Easiah, Dough Kain, T.I.G., Right Side Entertainment, Gerze Entertainment, SMB Entertainment, D. Rocc, and others at 9pm.

Tickets for the afterparty are available at the door, or you can purchase them presale through Mac Wayne by calling  (253) 886-7370.

For further questions, email Destiny City Entertainment or call (253) 226-7397.

Just love the "free hot dogs for the kids" blurb on the promo poster! Especially with the tattoo shop right below it. (Is that for permanent or temporary kid-friendly tattoos?)
