The Queen is back and she is prepared to remind the masses what a lady of Hip-Hop really is.
The Grammy winning, Oscar nominated, and Golden Globe winner has successfully made a transition from Hip-Hop to practically everything in between, becoming a force to be reckoned with; however, Queen Latifah is ready to return to her roots with her brand new album Persona.
Being described as a Hip-Hop meets Pop album, Latifah's 7th studio album will create a new sound for the MC with help from producers Cool and Dre and appearances from Pharrell of The Neptunes and Missy Elliot to name a few.
We can expect Persona to be a more introspective album touching on Queen Latifah's upbringing in New Jersey, turning her obstacles into opportunities, and it will even examiner the nature of relationships.
Known for hit singles such as "U.N.I.T.Y." and "Ladies First", without a doubt the late 80's and early 90's Hip-Hop fans are more than happy to see the return of the Queen.
Persona is due in stores August 28th, 2009.
