It seems like Southern rappers are getting thrown in jail at an alarming rate.
It has just been confirmed by HipHopDX.com that rapper Gucci Mane has been sentenced to 1 year behind bars for an undisclosed charge.
The cause for the sentence is said to be because the rapper violated probation. On the brighter side, Gucci Mane’s one year jail sentence can be cut in half if he demonstrates good behavior.
This news comes on the heels of the recent announcement regarding Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie being ordered by a judge to serve time immediately on Monday after receiving an additional 2 years to his already set 2 year bid.
Just last month, rapper Lil Wayne was sentenced to 1 year for his involvement with an illegal gun that was found on the rappers tour bus while he was in New York in 2007.
Gucci Mane’s album The State vs. Radric Davis is scheduled to be released on December 8.
