Bachman urges an emergency house call on Washington

Michelle Bachman, Representative from Minnesota, has issued a call to action for Americans who oppose President Obama’s takeover of healthcare. While Americans have made their opposition to healthcare reform known through town hall meetings, phone calls, emails and faxes to their Congress people and even by marching on Washington on September 12, Representative Bachman sees the dedication of the democrats. Bachman has said she sees just how committed the democrats are and she thinks they are simply ignoring the calls, emails and words of the people. Her solution? An Emergency House Call on Washington.

Representative Michele Bachman wants Americans to join her on the steps of the Capitol this Thursday at noon for a press conference. From there, she is encouraging the people of this country to go to their representative’s office, “look them in the whites of their eyes” and ask them why they want to force cradle-to-grave government take-over of the healthcare system. Bachman believes that if enough people are willing to get themselves to Washington and speak face-to-face with the Congress people who will eventually run for office again, the healthcare bill can be defeated.

The bill that was presented to the House of Representatives last week is not the final bill that will be presented for vote. That item is expected Monday night. From there, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is granting 72 hours for review.   Allowing eight hours per day for sleep and other essentials, the bill must be read at a rate of forty-one pages per hour.  

Many individuals and groups are organizing a road trip that will put them in Washington on Thursday. Anyone who wants to join the crowd should search their local meet-up groups as a place to start. Many 9-12 groups have chartered busses and there have been reports of people who are not able to go “sponsoring” someone who can, but may not have the funds.

For people who cannot get to Washington, they are being encouraged to visit their representative’s local office at 12:00pm on November 5th. President Obama and his administration are doing all they can to take control of one-sixth of the U.S. economy. They have continued to ignore the people and will stop at nothing to get their way. Americans who want to stop this, need to act now.
