Houston Hiking Trail Maps
For one of the best (and free) trail maps for the greater Houston area is The Park People's Trails Map developed by The Park People. Encompassing Greater Houston, Harris County, and the Greenway Trails, this map highlights hiking trails, biking trails, and paddling trails. The best part is that you can pick up a copy of the map at both REI stores in Houston.
Trailheads, parking, and future trails are also listed on the colorful map with each park, lake and waterway indicated. For complete information on most of these hikes, get a copy of “60 Hikes Within 60 Miles: Houston” by your Houston Hiking Examiner, me. However, get a copy of the map, which has been updated with the recent addition of the Cypress Creek Trail and the future Sims Bayou Trail.
