Walking near water is a great way to relax.
Today is National Relaxation Day. Perhaps you're too busy and stressed to know that today, August 15th, is National Relaxation Day. Maybe you're thinking National Relaxation Day bears no merit. Think again. The American Psychological Association reports 43% of all adults suffer adverse health effects from stress; 75% - 90% of all physician office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints; stress is linked to the six leading causes of death (heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide); and OSHA has declared stress a hazard of the workplace.
Celebrate National Relaxation Day. It doesn't have to be expensive (unless you want it to be). Do it for your health. Do it for your spirit. Do it for your family. Do it for you.
