From a country known for spewing forth extreme metal bands by the score comes Frantic Amber, an all-girl five-piece on the verge of issuing their first demo. To pave the way for their forthcoming tunes, the band has released a video for the song “Wrath of Judgement”, which can be viewed below.
Originally founded in 2008 by guitarist Mary, the band has undergone a series of line-up changes before solidifying with the current international cast. Mary and drummer Emlee both hail from the band’s home base of Sweden while frontwoman Elizabeth is from Denmark. Norwegian bass player Sandra and Japanese lead guitarist Mio round out the roster.
Combining harsh, guttural growls with occasional hair-raising shrieks, and rare bouts of clean vocals, Frantic Amber delivers the brutality fans of the genre demand. If Kittie lights your fire, be sure to keep these gals on you’re your new music radar. No release date has been set for the demo, but the band is currently streaming “Wrath of Judgement” and two other songs on their MySpace page.
