Atlanta's Emory University School of Medicine is teaming up with Whiskey Park at the W Hotel in midtown Atlanta to host a fundraiser for earthquake victims of Haiti.
The student group, Emory Medishare, is a branch of the national non-profit organization Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc. Emory Medishare sends student workers to Thomonde in the Central Plateau of Haiti three times each year to help set up clinics in the surrounding villages, train local healthcare workers and assist in the improvement of the healthcare infrastructure. The group was in Haiti in late November and is planning its next trip in April 2010.
Project Medishare has operated in Haiti for more than 15 years and its founders have recently been appointed by President Rene Preval of Haiti to lead the medical relief field sites in and around Port-au-Prince.
The medical students will take donations for raffle tickets at the Whiskey Park door, Friday night, January 29, starting at 7 p.m. Prizes include restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays, gym memberships and more. The students will also provide information about ways to help Haiti recover. All donations will benefit the Project Medishare Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.

I really want to be eligible for some of the prizes. Can I buy the raffles by phone or online? I live in Mississippi but would drive to Atlanta if I won a gift certificate to a good restaurant.
I hope they get all the help they need.
