This year's Festival of the Turkeys at the Farm Sanctuary in Orland, California, was extraordinary.
A classy affair complete with candlelight dinner designed by Compassionate Cook Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, this annual event never fails to inspire and uplift.
And by moving the celebrations to later in the day for sunset feast, magnificent candleabras, sumptious food and inspiring guest speakers, event planners took it over the top.
A meander through the afternoon can be celebrated via the video above:
- visit the cows, pigs, goats, ducks, and turkety who are living out their lives in the Farm Sanctuary
- hear Colleen Patrick-Goudreau tell the story of Harrison and meet many of his companions at Farm Sanctuary Orland. Patrick Goudreau's award winning vegetarian - make that more specifically vegan - cookbooks provided the menu
- listen to Gene Baur's inspirational after-dinner message. Baur is the President and Co-Founder of Farm Sanctuary
- enrich your day with the words of Patrick-Goudreau's poem of hope
- celebrate the feeding of the pumpkin pie to the turkeys

Another fine way to celebrate National Vegan Month! Next
