Leonard H. Cizewski, BSN, RN was born and raised in Chicago where in 1980 he obtained his BS in nursing from the University of Illinois before moving to Madison, Wisconsin. The U. of I. emphasized research based care and critical thinking.
He has practiced as a staff nurse in intermediate and long term care for almost 30 years. He has advocated for his patients, blown the whistle on institutions, and taken care of family members.
