Changes to Indiana’s required immunizations for school aged children
The State of Indiana recently altered the list of immunizations required before a child can enter school. The State Health Department’s School Immunization Requirement FAQs explain the changes as follows:
Are there any additions to required immunizations for the 2010-2011 school year?
Yes. In addition to the previously required immunizations:
Students entering preschool or kindergarten must now have 2 appropriately documented varicella vaccines, separated by at least 3 months, or physician documentation of disease history, or laboratory evidence of immunity.
Students entering grades 6 –12 must have appropriate documentation of the following vaccinations: Tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap); meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4 – Menactra); 2 varicella vaccinations appropriately spaced per CDC guidelines, or documentation of disease history, or laboratory evidence of immunity.
All required immunizations for school age children will be available through the Marion County Health Department.

Great information I know around here it's really hard to get into the health department and usually means waiting for hours and hours because there are so many people there - extended hours would be a great help.
