Healthy Living 101: Where can I get a free HIV test in Indianapolis?

AIDS awareness ribbon (©David Dallaqua)

February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. On this day, African Americans are encouraged to ‘Get Educated. Get Tested. Get Involved. Get Treated.’

December 1st of each year is World AIDS day. One this day, countries across the globe take the opportunity to educate their citizens on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, as well as to encourage everyone to be tested.

Approximately 33 million people worldwide are living with HIV, with more than 1 million in the US alone.  Over 25 million people worldwide have died from AIDS.  Don't become one of the millions.  Don't wait for a special day to be tested.  If you are sexually active or at risk for HIV/AIDS in other ways, learn about HIV prevention and take time to be tested.  If you cannot afford testing through your family doctor or clinic, find a location that offers free HIV testing.

The following organizations offer free HIV testing in Indianapolis.  A fee may be charged for service at some locations.  Please call to verify information in advance.
