The Tylenol recall has expanded to include more products. When shopping for any such products always check the list of recalled items before making a purchase.
Tylenol is the brand name for acetaminophen, an over-the-counter pain reliever. A website link is listed at the end of this article that will list all products that will be removed in addition to certain Tylenol products.
The FDA reported that Johnson & Johnson was aware of problems with products in 2008. Although the problem of a foul odor was brought to light products remained on the market. It has been claimed that the odor caused illness in some who purchased these items.
It is suspected that the odors are from wooden pallets used to store the products during shipping. The packaging method has been changed to avoid these problems in the future.
Critics say although a warning was issued a recall is taking too long. Please see the website link below that allow a comparison of lot numbers on any packages you may have.
Whether it is Tylenol or any other product used by consumers most feel any item should be removed from store shelves immediately following any health concerns.
