Five health-inspired stocking stuffers

Your shopping's all done. But wait ... maybe you should throw in one last little thing. Here are 5 ideas for health- and wellness-inspired stocking stuffers:

1. SPIbelt: Don't you hate it when you want to go for a run and have nowhere to put your cell phone, keys or ID? I found out about this little belt months ago and it's been on my wish list ever since. It's compact, and unlike a typical fanny pack, it's designed not to bounce as you run. You can find it at Falls Road Running Store in Baltimore and Feet First Sports in Columbia.

2. Pedometer:
How many steps do you and your family take every day?  Health experts recommend 10,000 steps a day, which is about 5 miles. This small and inexpensive gadget will help you keep track.You can buy pedometers at Target, Dick's or nearly any sporting goods store.

3. Sweet Riot chocolate:
Chocolate in a cute little tin. Enough said.

4. Gift card for Whole Foods:
Who isn't feeling a strain on their grocery budget these days? An extra $5 or $10 could mean extra fruits and veggies in your loved one's shopping cart.

5.  A health or wellness magazine:
Place a single issue in the stocking, or spring for a subscription to make your gift last throughout the year. My favorites are Shape and Cooking Light. Also check out Self, Prevention, Men's Health, Men's Fitness or specialty magazines based on the person's sport of choice.
