What ever happened to lemonade and candy apples? In the past few years, visitors to state fairs have encountered an ever-increasing number of deep-fried foods, bizarre things on a stick, and monster-sized portions.
With fair foods becoming more and more unusual by the year, here are some of the weirdest choices in fair foods and the worst offenders to your health. You won't believe what food they shove a stick in and deep fry next at your local state fair.

Most of those look disgusting, although I admit that my past trips to the Ren Fest were not complete without a grilled turkey leg. And I'd try the chocolate covered bacon just to say I had... ;-)
Of course everything is deep friend (I am from the south I can get away with that.) My BIL and SIL also do catering and fairs - but they serve things like grilled salmon and homemade chicken salad. Yumm course a fried twinkie can also come in handy after all the good for me food.
Chocolate covered BACON? Are you friggin' KIDDING me? Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick. I'm desperate for an ENTIRE funnel cake right now.
