Only 43 percent of men and 54 percent of women wash their hands after using the restroom according to a recent study. Not a pleasant thought if you use a public restroom where the doors and other surfaces are often contaminated with an array of germs. However, a unique technology has been developed to flush away the spread of germs in public restrooms.
The technology features a touch-free door opening system designed to reduce the spread of germs by eliminating door surface contact going in and out of the restroom. Similar to hands-free faucets and towel dispensers, doors equipped with the technology open automatically with a simple wave of a hand.
This hands-free door opening system, called Sanidoor, is currently popular in many restaurants and businesses in Florida, but will soon be launch a new second-generation system throughout North America, which includes systems made specifically for swinging doors and single-use locking public restrooms.
The Sanidoor system is already installed and eliminating germs in more than 300 public restroom locations in the United States, and it is gaining popularity among large employers, hotels, hospitals, doctor's offices and retail outlets.
