This year, we have already seen ads for fake anti-viral preparations to protect you from H1N1 (swine) flu.  However, we now have a new threat.  Apparently someone has produced a viral email message that looks exactly like it is from the CDC.  The message tells you that you need to establish a "Personal H1N1 Vaccination Profile."

You get an email that you think is from the CDC with a link for you to establish your own H1N1 vaccination profile.  The link takes you to what looks like an official CDC website.  When you get to that website, it asks you to provide important health and personal information.  It also includes links for you to download to your own website.  Allegedly the linked files are dangerous and contain damaging viruses.

The CDC will be issuing a statement on the subject soon.

As ever, do not provide any information or download any information to your computer unless you are absolutely positive that it is safe.
