Our chronological age (the age stated on our birth certificate) typically differs from our real age (the age our body thinks we actually are). The way we treat our body in terms of exercise, nutrition, and outlook on life has an effect on the aging process. Knowing our real age is an indicator of health and can be used as a guide to remind us that we are doing well or that we may need to make alterations in our daily living activities if we want to live a long, healthy life.

Your real age (aka biological or functional age) is affected by how well you maintain your body. Ideally, your biological age should be younger than your chronological age. If it is not, then the bad news is that you may be compromising your ability to live a long, healthy life. The good news, however, is that you can reverse it! Drs. Mehmet Oz and Michael Roizen offer a comprehensive anti-aging checklist (Dr. Oz’s Ultimate Anti-Aging Checklist) to help you on your way to becoming biologically younger. It includes detailed information on anti-oxidants and mind and body exercises to help improve the quality of your life as well as add years to it.

Take the Real Age Test to determine your real age. The results will help you determine if you are living a healthy lifestyle. How you care for your mind and body influences how you age. Make it a goal to get your real age lower than your chronological age. This will lead to better health and a life of quality and longevity.
