Flat Belly Diet could be worth a try after all

The Flat Belly Diet is a healthy way to flatten your belly and lose weight, while learning how to eat healthy foods. Fat in the midsection is the most harmful type of fat, and increases risk of dying  from diabetes and heart disease. Too much weight in the midsection also affects lung health, by "squeezing" the lungs. The Flat Belly Diet is the brainchild of Cynthia Sass, MPH, RD, and author of the bestselling book by the same name.

The Flat-Belly Diet, recommends drinking  Sassy water for four days before you begin the diet. Sassy water ingredients, the prelude to the flat belly diet,  include 2 liters water (approximately 8 1/2 cups), 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, 1 medium cucumber sliced thinly and peeled, 1 medium lemon sliced thinly, 12 small spearmint leaves.

The Flat Belly Diet could be worth a try, especially if you have been battling weight in the mid section, and other diets have failed.  Results, according to the author, are guaranteed in just thirty-two days. For many, the Flat Belly Diet has been a huge success, and it might work for you – the foods are healthy, and you will not experience food cravings that lead to weight loss failure.

According to a review earlier this year from emaxhealth, “ The Flat Belly Diet appears to be one of the most popular, effective and healthy diets in America. One week after releasing her book, the Flat Belly Diet became a best seller , for good reason. The diet is high in MUFA's, (Monounsaturated fatty acids), and is well backed by research that shows MUFA's target belly fat, and promote overall health. MUFA rich foods include all nuts, peanut butter, olives, dark chocolate, and all oils except palm and coconut oil”.

A major focus of the Flat Belly Diet includes eating MUFA foods every our hours to stave off hunger and load up on beneficial fatty acids. David Katz, MD, MPH, Associate Professor of Public Health and Director of the Prevention Research Center at Yale University School of Medicine examined changes in abdominal fat among nine overweight women who followed the Flat Belly Diet for twenty-eight days. MRI showed a thirty-three percent reduction in belly fat.

A combination of exercise, combined with eating the right kind of fats, an emphasis of the Flat Belly Diet, might be worth trying if you are battling weight, especially in the mid section. The Flat Belly Diet should not leave you hungry, making it a decent choice for healthy eating and weight loss.
