If you happen to be someone who is interested in the future of our environment, sustainability, and some of the businesses that may be paving the road to our future here on this planet, you may want to be marking the end of March 2010 on your calendar. From March 24- 26, 2010, the Vancouver Convention Centre- East, in British Columbia, Canada, will be hosting "... one of the world's largest and longest-running events dedicated to the business of the environment..." according to the events website, Globe2010.
This year`s event plans to examine several topics revolving around our environment and the many business that, these days, surround it such as, ``clean energy``, green living, ``sustainability``, and water issues, to name only a few of the mentioned areas of discussion.
The deadline for early registration, which if you make it, saves a good two hundred dollars of the fifteen hundred dollar registration for the three day event, is March 5, so you may want to hurry. If you can only make it for the day, hopefully, you have an extra six hundred bones in your wallet because that is what it is going to take to get in the door for the day at Globe 2010. Although the business connections and knowledge one might find at an event like this are priceless, and the opportunities one might find, invaluable... But really, how many up and coming, starving entrepreneurs do you know, that will be able to afford tickets for this event?
Another highlight of Globe 2010 in Vancouver, will be the Season Six Auditions for CBC`s Dragon`s Den. Being held on ``...Friday, March 26th from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm... [, any]... entrepreneurs with an eco-friendly business, invention or idea could... [possibly]... qualify for a $100,000 Greenvention Prize, sponsored by Sun Chips...``. Applications are available for aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to try out for the Dragon`s Den Auditions, can online at CBC.ca.
This will be quite the event for Vancouver, and it will be interesting to see some of what the near future may hold. This, will surely be a great opportunity for anyone with a business or serious interest in the environment and future of our ``Globe``.
