Climategate: Academy members demand Gore's Oscar be returned

                                    LAT

Gore won an Oscar for his climate change documentary in 2007 which in light of leaked emails from 2,500 political hacks posing as scientists, criticism is rapidly growing against Gore and his qualifications for earning the award. One must remember he went on to win a Nobel Prize shortly thereafter as a leading authority in the area.

As a result of the information leaking, Gore canceled a speaking engagement to a newspaper group of more than 3,000.

This focus now alerts all to to the next summit at Copenhagen. How many jets will be flown there (including Air Force One)  and how will the carbon footprint affect the global warming they are intent on eliminating?

The documentary was made and in turn fore fed to student audiences. I bet it did not include any Air Force One scenes.

We are not far from the summit and the news media has yet to reveal the hacked emails. Find this story on news media besides LAT. What does that tell you? Why is government so willing to financially assist our media?

AL GORE NEVER WON AN OSCAR!!

IT'S A MYTH THAT THE LIBERAL MEDIA HAS BEEN SPREADING FOR YEARS.

THE DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER OF THE FILM HE WAS IN WON THE AWARDS.

IF HE HAS ONE IT WAS A GIFT AND NOT AWARDED TO HIM BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A CATEGORY TO GIVE ACTORS IN A DOCUMENTARY THIS HONOR.

LAST TIME I CHECKED HE WASN'T IN THE CREDITS AS BEING ONE OF THE PRODUCERS OR THE DIRECTOR.

IF HE DOES HAVE ONE, THE ACADEMY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD.

LOOK UNDER AWARDS FOR AL GORE ON WIKIPEDIA IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME:

LAT: "...have called upon the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the prestigious, profitable gold Oscar statuette that it gave ex-Vice President Al Gore et al two years ago for the environmental movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

I have two other sources which verify the same. Since this format will not permit me to link to them I am simply quoting one.

    I do not use Wikipedia.

Gore deserves his Oscar. He produced a great work of fiction, and was a very good actor. He should return the Nobel prize though.

Al Gore and these arrogant, fraudulent scientist should be treated as economic terrorist. The damage they have done to the economy is huge. The climate change farce has long since gone too far with some “hidden agenda”.

Is this just a money grab by left wing socialist to punish those with money and give to the poor countries of the world? If so call it that! Then we can start with the liars like Al Gore and strip him of all money made with the fiction sold as fact. “The Inconvenient Truth” is “The Convenient Lie” that duped the youth of the world.

Our children around the world have had these leftist lies spoon fed to them in schools and in the media. They will get the message. Lie, cheat, bend-over (repeat).

    Luisa,

I forgot he invented the Internet! Imagine how those emails would have been revealed without it.

    Thanks for reminding me.

It maybe Al Gore himself didn't win the Oscar, but his fictional film, An Inconvenient Truth, did - and a fictional film should not win an oscar for pretending to be a documentary!

And there are indisputably pictures of him accepting an Oscar and making a speech at the Oscar awards. Well, I guess he was the lead actor in it...

Stop bitching about ClimateGate. Take responsibility and take action. Stop all donations to the political party(s) responsible for this fraud. Stop donations to all environmental groups which funded this Global Warming propaganda campaign with our money, especially The Environmental Defense Fund. START donations to Oklahoma’s Senator Inhofe, the only politician to stand firmly against this obvious government/media coordinated information operation (propaganda) targeted at its own people. People that government leaders and employees are sworn to protect. Write your state and federal representatives demanding wall to wall investigations of government sponsored funding and coordination of this and related propaganda campaigns and demand indictments of those responsible. Write your state and federal Attorneys General demanding Al Gore and others conducting Global Warming/Climate Change racketeering and mail fraud operations be brought to justice, indicted, tried and convicted.

Attacking those who have claimed collusion amongst climate scientists as ‘conspiracy theorists’ constitutes an ‘ad hominem’ attack. It ignores some real evidence of collusion and attempts to paint them as a bunch of nuts in order to hide an unpleasant reality.

Psychiatrists have a saying that goes “It ain’t paranoia when they’re really after you.” In this case, it is no longer a conspiracy THEORY once the conspiracy is demonstrated.

The recent email release shows leaders in the climate research field engaged in some extraordinarily unprofessional behavior — including suborning the peer review process, denying access to and threatening destruction of raw data and cooking the analysis to fit preordained conclusions.

Such actions, if proven, would end the careers of many scientists.

Whatever your views on CO2 and climate, dismissing these acts as ‘no big deal’ and painting those who call attention to them as ‘conspiracy nuts’ only strengthens the deniers arguments. ---Michael
