Was Will Smith in a car accident? No. Is Will Smith dead? No. Has Will Smith died? No. All of these Will Smith questions have turned into the latest celebrity death rumor making its way through the Twitter-verse as well as the internet. The rumor can be traced back to the same "mill" of rumors that have targeted celebrities in recent months, but at least this time we might be able to figure out where the Will Smith car accident rumors got their start. An article earlier today talked about receiver Steve Smith and that he "will play" after being in a car accident. The key words of "will", "smith", and "car accident" could have been combined to Will Smith car accident.

One of the worst things about the internet is that it is easy to start up a rumor without really basing it in reality. When one person posts on their Twitter account that "Will Smith has died", it can really spring to life because the next person probably won't fact check before they toss it on to their own Twitter account with an "omg" in front of it. It's not until later in the day when people start to put two and two together to figure out that the rumor was just coming from the mind of some sick individual that really only wanted to draw attention to themselves. There are so many better ways to gain fame and fortune on the internet, maybe the next time these people feel the need to do something on the internet, they can just go make a YouTube video or something.

The Will Smith death rumors are an unfortunate reminder that people will lie and stretch the truth on the internet almost every day. We aren't going to list here where the rumor first started gaining traction, but it is the familiar suspect that was also claiming that both Britney Spears and Kanye West has died in the past few weeks. There needs to be some entity that holds sites like this accountable when they start intentionally posting false information, and maybe it’s going to take a big lawsuit that bankrupts one of those web sites before they actually get the message that the internet needs to be a place for truth with opinions rather than lies intended to cause pain. The rumors like this have gone past being tiresome, and its time for reality to once again set in.

This statement that you've made is not backed up by anything, and is just pure speculation. if you are going to make comments like this in the future please be prepared at least to extrapolate your idea further. The internet cannot be controlled, if you think it can be controlled, you have no idea what you are talking about. Blocking an offensive site is probably the worst probable indicator that our country has lost its founding principles of FREEDOM. The site that you say this originated from does not do this to harm a celebrity. Celebrities are in the public's eye, what do you expect?
