December 30, 2009 - The “Susan Powell Purple Ribbon Campaign” is in the process of being organized by Friends and Family of Susan Powell. Those who would like to help spread the word about Susan Powell's disappearance are encouraged to join in this campaign. Susan was reported missing on Dec. 7.
Details are being worked out and a Press Release will be issued this weekend.
The “Purple Ribbon Campaign” will coincide with the 72-hour “Susan Powell Social Media Blitz”, scheduled to begin Mon. Jan. 4 at 8 a.m. and end Thur. at 9 a.m.
Friends and Family are asking people to display purple ribbons- one of Susan’s favorite colors - as a reminder of the ongoing search for Susan.
Shelby Gifford, Spokeswoman for the Powell family, said, “Tie it around a tree, wear it on your lapel, put it around your car antenna, display it at your desk at work - anywhere you can think of to spread the word about Susan.”
Details, along with a link to the Press Release, will be available here so check back often.

I just pray that she can be found. Her little boys probably don't realize they won't see her again in this life, but they will in the next. I hope there can be closure for her families sake and her children.
Very lovely article Isabelle! I love your embeds too. You always make your stories more interesting than the other reporters. It's clear you put a lot of time and effort into them and go far out of your way to provide information that mainstream media is not covering.
Please e-mail me the original of the ribbon photo if you have it in full size. I want a large picture of it for the slide show.
I'm going to paste an appropriately sized ribbon into some of the photos I'm using that have a white background. Your beautiful ribbon gave me the idea!
Thank you, Karla
