One report predicts a 60 percent chance of snow in San Antonio Friday night or early Saturday morning.
Houston could get as much as two inches of snow and rain with afternoon commutes during snow fall. Some Houston schools are planning early release.
Early indicators show light accumulations of snow across the Edwards Plateau (Western Hill Country and Austin-San Antonio corridor), “with greater amounts possible across portions of the coastal plans and eastern Hill Country.
The snow will end early this evening as the upper level disturbance exits to the east.
The earliest snow has been seen on record in San Antonio and Houston is December 10.
