Video: iGrow - Marijuana superstore opens in Oakland

iGrow - Marijuana superstore opens in Oakland. iGrow - A 15,000 square foot marijuana (also known as cannabis) superstore is opening soon in Oakland, California; this will be the first of its kind in the country. The Owner of iGrow, Dhar Mann hopes this store will become the king of the marijuana superstores.

The store will sell chemicals, soil, containers, lights and kits. Basically everything you need to grow your own marijuana. They store will also include a staff of people called “the grow squad” who can assist with questions. They will make house calls as well. A doctor will also be on the site to give examination, prescriptions and issue a legal identification card.

14 states currently allow legalized prescription marijuana, and California was the first state to do this in 1996. Currently, in the state of Utah if a person is caught with less than an ounce on them, it is a misdemeanor offense, with a fine up to $1,000, up to 6 months in jail, and the loss of the drivers license for six months.

What's really sad about this story is that after the guy opened this store and was honest that it was for medical marijuana growers, all the companies that wholesaled to him, except for one called Advanced Nutrients, they all pulled their products out of his store because they are hypocrites who like to make money off of marijuana growers but don't want to be sold in a store that's up front about marijuana growing. These companies have long been an enemy of growers. They include Sunlight Supply, Hydrofarm, etc. Companies that have made tons of money off of marijuana growers but run away and hide whenever marijuana is mentioned in states where it's legal to grow.

Very good idea, pot smokers are not criminals and should not have to feel like it when shopping.

Pot is safer than Coca Cola.

Did you know soda has so much acid that it takes 32 8 ounce glasses of water to flush the acid from one soda out of your body, and that acid eats your stomach lining where 70% of the human immune system is. And the sugar is horrible for your teeth, and the caffeine is bad for your skin. Not to mention the new studies that show a multitude of bacteria living in the fountain soda dispensing machines.

The real dangers are the big corporations who use human life as lab rats for profit no matter the consequences! They'll poison you for a profit, and pay a small fine if there caught, its the American way! Go Corpocrasy

I hated the uninformed news dummy calling plant nutrients chemicals and cannabis marijuana.
I personally don't like the negative history of the word marijuana

News people need to smoke a joint and get educated.

Why don't you drug addicts take a look at the civil asset forfeiture program. You would find that the DEA practically pays for itself and is set to begin profiting thereby reducing your income taxes. You all scream taxes taxes taxes but not a one of you realize that these drug dealers make huge money, spend it, get caught lose it to YOU and the money goes into the GENERAL FUND for the Government. Imagine how much MORE in income tax you will be paying when the pot is legal, sold for pennies like tobacco and generates negligible revenues for the GENERAL FUND. You hippies must love paying insane income tax and property tax levels. Use your brain, turn in drug dealers, pick out the things they own you would like to have but could never afford and then buy them at a discount at government auction. They are offering course in Canada on buying seized drug dealer house to flip for a profit. Grow up, get legal, get rich.

Johnny - why am I not surprised to read that? Seems like all certain nutrient companies want is the money from MMJ growers, but none of the blame once the DEA comes around. Like anyone really believes their products are just for tomatoes. Tomatoes are in grocery stores - no one's growing em at home. I avoid companies like Sunlight Supply, GH, Foxfarm and others just because of this blatant hypocrisy. Sure, they want your money, but if you're ever in a tight spot, they're long done. Advanced nutrients, time and time again is there for the growers, standing up for their rights (legal growers, mind you!) and making sure they're promoting the idea of MMJ. While legalization can't be too far away (obviously, a pot Wal Mart is the first clue), seems like the other brands are just too cowardly to own up to their products. Sad, isn't it?

14 states don't allow 'legalized prescription marijuana'. the laws in the states vary, w/ doctor recommendations being the general rule - different than an Rx. for those who think that legalization and taxation are around here, check into the states where it's prohibition as usual. change is coming, but it's not coming quickly to the entire nation. and since when does taxation lead to benefit for the populace? herb money helps our communities out tremendously as is(not that i support prohibition), and it skips the taxation route(at the grower/dealer level).
