Utah Utes defensive end Koa Misi left Wednesday night's practice on a golf cart after being injured during a light contact drill with offensive lineman Zane Beadles, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Initial reports said Misi suffered only a back spasm, but head coach Kyle Whittingham declined to elaborate further. More details are expected later tonight.
Misi, a senior returning starter, was selected to the Mountain West Conference preseason all-league team, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
