Jaycee Dugard is writing a book and plans to use the proceeds to go back to school along with Starlit and Angel, her two daughters. A friend of the Dugard family told the The Times Online that Jaycee and her daughters plan to change their names, get a tutor to get caught up and then go to a private school.
Tina Dugard, Jaycee Dugard's aunt said in a press conference this about Jaycee's daughters: "They are educated and bright. It's clear they've been on the Internet...and that Jaycee did a great job with the limited resources she had."
Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped in 1991, held captive for 18 years, and had two daughters with her kidnapper. Phillip and Nancy Garrido are being held in the El Dorado County Jail, and an October 29 date is set for a preliminary hearing. Most likely the trial will not begin for two years.
In a related case, Elizabeth Smart from Utah was held captive for nine months before being discovered on the streets of Salt Lake City. Elizabeth Smart recently testified against her kidnapper in his comptency hearing that he raped her three to four times a day during her captivity. To read Elizabeth's testimony, click here.

How exactly does a child have children "with" an adult? How does a captive have children "with" a captor? They don't. "With" means jointly. Dugard did not agree to any of this. She couldn't. Dugard forcibly had children *by* Garrido. It's important to use words that report what actually happened, rather than distorting it. It's no less absurd than claiming a murder was a "suicide."
