Raleigh seems to be the best weathered Labor Day around without any storm or shower threats.  What to do in Raleigh, North Carolina on Labor Day?

Raleigh has much to offer from the free museums to free outdoor activities.  For a complete lengthy listing visit Raleighfree.com.  Favored amongst most is NC's Museum of History's Knights of the Black Flag: Pirates.  Simply think of Blackbeard.  From $0 to $5, inexpensively worth it.  For more information call (919) 807-7900.

You can also visit the Carolina Reptile and Exotic Animal Show at the Exposition Center on Saturday and Sunday between 10:00am -5:00pm.  The cost is between $0 to $8.  For more information call (919) 495-3233.

RUM RUNNER DRINK SPECIALS

$2 shot, a $3 beer, and a $4 Drink on Friday and Saturday offers a $2 Shot, $3 off 64 Oz Fishbowls, and a $4 Drink.  Labor Day do something else, perhaps a little swimming is in order.

OUTER BANKS (OBX)

Swimming like a fish in the largest fishbowl is not such a bad idea to enjoy your Labor Day weekend.  It may be chilly but still to reach the 80's over the weekend as the Outer Banks can bring a peaceful ending to a long summer breeze.  Experience the clean air, the ocean wide and the gulls that fly pass squawking, not a bad way to end the summer.

Route 12 can be met may different directions, that is if you are coming from the Atlantic Ocean.  There are only two ways to truly enter Route 12 of the Outer Banks, either take a ferry (1-800-byFerry) or drive from the north peak.  This is one of the enjoyments of life that normally takes a couple of days, such as all three days of Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  The Outer Banks Labor Day traffic  should not be a serious issue.

COOKOUTS

One of the best ways to celebrate Labor Day is to have a cook-out with plenty of activities.  This form of entertainment does not have to be conducted too far from home, especially if there is a large backyard.

HILLS OF NORTH CAROLINA

For North Carolina roadways, Labor Day is projected to bring on more drivers than Memorial Day of 2009.  Take a trip away from the sun's glare to cooler climates of cloudy days, the hills of North Carolina.

Not "beach", Beech!  Beech Mountain has something for kids, parents and kite lovers of the world as each experience kite-flying on Sunday September 6th.  The Mile High Kite Festival allows children of all ages to fly a kite, really high in the sky!  At one mile above sea level between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Beech Mountain is a colorful spectacular sight.  Expect anticipation.

No matter where you go on Labor Day, check out what North Carolina has to offer.

why don't you pick one topic and write about it? you're moving into other people's territory. are you writing weather, travel, contests, bars, events, or what? looks like you need your own identity because you wrote about everything except the headlines, whatever that means.
