The 10-year-old Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz school bus video has been released by his mother, Berenice Diaz. Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz appeared scared, frantic, as he warns the investigator not to lead him into the hands of a man that calls himself father. We must warn you, this video is not easy to view. I will not add a link but you can catch it on HLN.
What does Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz say to the investigator on the school bus?
"He's not my dad. No, no, he's not my dad. Please help me he's not my dad. I don't want to live with him."
The investigator questioned the young boy's claims.
Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz responded, "Because he hits me lots of times."
Then the investigator suggests that they will not allow anything to happen to the child as they escort him off of the bus to continue his good byes to his mother and younger brother before carting him away in police vehicles towards Jean Philippe Lacombe's location.
The mother, Berenice Diaz, was the legal guardian until on October 16, 2009 Jean Philippe Lacombe presented Texas District Judge Sol Casseb manipulated documents from the Mexican judicial authorities. The Judge decided to grant Jean Philippe Lacombe legal guardianship of Jean Paul Lacombe despite the fact that Jean Philippe Lacombe has illegally abducted his son a couple of years ago. It took Diaz up to two years to get her son back.
Bexar County authorities are investigating as felony charges await Mr. Lacombe once in custody.
San Antonio Attorney Miquel Ortiz represents the mother as he calls this a "government-assisted kidnapping."
When Diaz and Lacombe's marriage dissolved in Mexico in 2005 Lacombe was given custody of his son until he fell short after taking Jean Paul Lacombe to France against the rules surrounding the guardianship. Custody was then given to Diaz.
On October 15, 2009, one day before the Judge granted him custody, attorneys for Lacombe claimed that Jean Paul Lacombe was abducted by him. International Child Abduction Remedies Act once allowed the mother to gain custody of her son, but it is the same angle Lacombe used the Child Abduction Remedies Act against the Texas judicial system in regaining Jean Paul Lacombe, a double-edged low blow by attorneys. Now both prominent San Antonio attorneys for Lacombe have an attorney of their own.
James Monnig and John Mead's attorney is H.E. Mendez who claims that they did nothing wrong.
After the bus incident Berenice Diaz was sent her son's cell phone postmarked from San Antonio, Texas. Diaz admits that Jean Philippe Lacombe was now married to a Russian woman, but could be returning to either Mexico, France or even Russia. She stated that she thought her and her children would be together and safe in America as this latest kidnapping proved her wrong.
What does Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz look like?
Check out this Berenice Diaz YouTube.com video where you can view a photo of both Jean Paul Lacombe Diaz and Jean Philippe Lacombe.

Incredible story Loretta! Let's hope he is found!
Such a sad story.
The adults who were there when this boy was taken and the cop, especially the cop, had a responsibility to protect this child. The fact that this cop let this child be taken is outrageous and he needs to be taken to court and I hope that he is cleaned out. I hear stories again and again of cops not doing their jobs and I'm tired of it. If a cop is incompetent, as many of them are, they need to be fired and not have excuses made for them. I'm outraged. I hope this boy gets home to safe and I hope this cop loses everything.
I hope to God this guy is found, this child is returned to his mother, and all the "authorities" in this case who had a hand in this psychopath getting that little boy have to issue her a formal apology, on top of being suspended from or relieved of their positions. I can't believe this.
Lets hope the mother can move on with her life.
This story was just on the news here in Los Angeles.. I hope we can find this SOB and get the child back to his mother! I dont think he would be here in LA, but I will keep my eyes peeled!! My thoughts and prayers with be with the mother until we bring Jean Paul home to his mother..
It is NOT the cops fault for following orders it is the Judges fault for not confirming the facts. The same type of thing happened to me,the judges only read what is handed to them that day, without researching the facts and they rely on the persons honesty.
Yes--It IS the cops fault. When a child says "he hits me-I don't want to go" then they have the authority and obligation to investigate the situation thoroughly no matter what paper they're holding onto. As for the mother moving on with her life, unlikely till she safely gets her child back.
F*cking cops.
Is this how our police officers "serve and protect" us? Gee that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I am disgusted by the lack of common sense this constable showed. If you don't have the instinct to protect a child when they are screaming abuse, you shouldn't be in that position. I hope this boy is found. I hope this constable is stripped of his responsibilities but I doubt that will happen. I'm sure he'll be protected for "following the letter of the law". What BS!
The article fails to mention who someone should contact if they see him... in France, in Mexico... who would they call?
Cops AND the judge are at fault here. Cops had an obligation to do a little more investigating, especially when confronted by the obviously frantic child and the nature of his allegations. That they were "under orders" is absolutely no excuse! What if a judge ordered them to execute a family? Would they then be absolved because they were "under orders?"
The judge, too, should have done more research, especially in a international custody case. (Perhaps a *call* to the court verifying the documents?) There is plenty of blame to go around here and it all lies in the Texas court house and with the Texas constables.
I am praying for this child. Why dont people listen to children. It makes me sick. That officer promised this boy he would make sure he was alright, he failed in that promise. I will be watching for this man and his child and hopefully someone out there will spot them. i just hope that even though this child has been betrayed by authorities he might have the courage he showed in this video still and speak out again.
I can't believe what I saw..My heart just dropped and tears came to my face...Why didn't the adults who this little boy trusted listen to him...My thoughts and prayers are with his mom. I pray he is home soon... kms
Simply...this NEVER should have happened. The courts wonder why families don't believe that their best interests are at heart, why many cannot trust them. How can you trust a system that does not care to find out he details before they hand your CHILD over to someone who may hurt them!
Nice. Welcome to the USA! and i thought Texas was one of those bad ass states that protects.
Not only does the judge belong in jail, but so do the officers that forcefully gave the boy to his felon father. Regardless of direction from any authority, these people have a legal obligation to verify. Shameful!
All the law officials involved in this fiasco should be and will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The judge and constable that allowed this to happen should either be made to resign, voted out of office come next election, or be removed from office by the State of Texas. Also, I hope that John Walsh puts Jean-Phillipe Lacombe on his America's Most Wanted List for this kidnapping, and I hope Dwayne "Dog" Chapman comes after Jean-Philippe with guns a blazing.
My heart breaks & tears flow when I see that helpless inocent child beg 4 help! I pray & hope for the quick return of this sweet child. What happened is uncalled for and could have been avoided if those sorry sacks of souless idiots would have done the job they were hired to do. May their souls reap the daily pain they caused for this child and his heartbroken mother. I send my hopes & wishes for a happy & soon end to this heart wrenching story.
This father's attorney's should be charged and held without bail until this child is returned. I bet they would find this guy quickly. They were instrumental in orchestrating this kidnapping. I am sure they would say they were lied to as well by their client. Regardless it is their duty to provide the courts with documents that are correct and they should have looked into the claims of the father before even presenting anything to the courts. If they are not charged and held without bail then they should at least their license to practice law should suspended until the child is returned. Why are we not hearing more about these attorneys. The constable relies on the judges orders, the judge relies on the attorneys. on whose authority did the attorney's rely upon, apparently their client. They were too lazy to do work necessary to go to the Mexican authorities. That is where there was a breakdown in the system.
get a court order for the attorney's telephone records
hello, the child was saying this man was not his father? the child was saying this man beats him? More investigation should of been done before the child was handed over to this SOB, lets pray and hope for the safe return of this baby, hope this bastard doesn't do something similar to the idiot and mother from San Clemente, who killed the daughters after she lost custody, Berenice, my heart and prayers go out to you and the safe return of your child
$10 says the kid runs away or does something really cruel to the "father".
everyone should get on this judge's website and tell him how stupid he is, how could he do this!??!
The judge is an idiot and very stupid! If he can't read the documents presented to him in Spanish, he should have it translated before giving his final decision, instead of believing the father. As for Lacombe's attorneys who orchestrated this fiasco, they should be debarred from practicing law -- they too should have these documents translated before taking this case -- they are a bunch of idiots -- apparently it was money and greed that motivated these lawyers to file these documents in court. The judge and Lacombe's lawyers are a disgrace and should be punished for not carefully reviewing the documents and getting them translated. I am very outraged by their conduct. Where is their common sense here? They should admit to their mistakes -- the eyes of the citizens of the Great State of Texas and Americans across this nation are watching and looking on them and are waiting for their answers for their outrageous conduct. My heart goes out to the mother and child!
As a person who has been quite wronged by the legal system in San Antonio this comes as no surprise. I was not wronged by the DA or police (though that is debatable). I was wronged by an inept judge who even to my untrained legal eyes seems incapable of holding such a powerful and important position (not the one in question here mind you. This is not a 'grudge post').
I am ashamed of my home town of San Antonio for ALLOWING this to happen. What an outrage. It makes my skin crawl with frustration and anger in all honesty.
I will also say, and this is coming from a White man, that if you are Hispanic you need to be as well dressed and put together as possible, as racially it seems to go this way for one people and the other way for another. I was wronged, but this is not the norm.
Casseb has wrote his own ending. At least I hope he has. I ask kindly to re-elect him. Thank you for reading.
CORRECTION! a bad typo, had to make myself clear.
Last sentence, "I ask kindly NOT (repeat, NOT!) to re-elect him."
Can't they trace his money and hold it. Catch him when he uses his accounts to run with the boy.
I dont understand where in the hell did procedures to obtain custody went when the judge granted him full custody. I dont care what state or what country you have full custody of your child, if I was a judge the same steps that a person took in a diff country or state it wil have to be done the same, Meaning that without the mother having the right to defend her self I wouldve never gave him custody. WHERE did this judge obtain his education, IT is his fault.
Why aren't we hearing about this anymore? This guy is rich, has he paid off media outlets to not make this a big deal? We heard about it the first day it happened and then nothing. What are law enforcement officials doing to save this poor child?
GET A CLUE everyone...this is NO MISTAKE here. Money bought the judge's signature. I assure you that if the documents and procedure was looked into, you would see the corruption. JUDGE'S DO NOT SIGN ORDERS THAT CANNOT READ...DOES NOT HAPPEN!!! THAT IS HIS EXCUSE. The lawyers and Judge got paid and if this is not investigated, that will be the biggest tragedy because it will continue to happen like in Collin County and Denton County where it is a frequent occurrence.
They say they believe this child is in Mexico. The US Government and Texas should grant citizenship to the one Mexican and their immeditate family who provides information that leads to this child return. Perhaps instead of the illegal immigrants coming over to Texas illegally they can stay in Mexico and find this child.
The guards could not do anything here. They were following court orders. The sole irresponsible here was the Judge that handed the child to his father, expecting him to return a few days later to the court room. I really can't think the Judge was so naive to think that a man who kidnapped his son before, was going to return to the court with him a few days later after the child was handed over to him, especially when he is a Mexican and French citizen and his wife is from Russia. I don't know what motivated the Judge Sol Casseb to hand over the child, but it truly looks suspicious, more so because the father of jean Paul is a millionaire, and the Judge Sol Casseb is raising money to get re-elected. Judge Casseb website states " Your financial support will help us achieve our campaign goal --- that of getting elected!"
OMG!!!!!! I know jean paul he told me this story and showed me a shot mark he got:(. He's soo nice
Got something to say?
