Brittany Murphy dies, Brittany Murphy autopsy refused by husband, LAPD investigation launched

Brittany Murphy, 32, was found unresponsive in the shower by her mother, Sharon Murphy, just before 8 a.m. this morning.  Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the call but could not resuscitate prior to Murphy being transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  Brittany Murphy died two hours later at 10:04 a.m. after going into cardiac arrest.

When it came to Brittany Murphy's autopsy her husband, Simon Monjack, refused to allow the autopsy.  However, the L.A. County Coroner's office is still planning on conducting an autopsy.  Question stands, did Simon Monjack refuse the autopsy due to other circumstances such as religious belief?

Simon Monjack's past reflects warrants out for his arrest.  He also was facing deportation at some point.  Could Brittany Murphy have saved him from deportation by marriage alone? 

Though the L.A. County Coroner's office reports that there is no foul play suspected as of now, this may change if the toxicology tests come back questionable.  That is if something odd strikes as criminal.  However, rumors surfaced of Brittany Murphy having an eating disorder and drug use of cocaine.  Both in combination could result in cardiac arrest although neither has truly been confirmed.  Brittany Murphy has stated in the past that she was a high-strung person and would never take cocaine.

Toxicology tests could take up to six weeks.

TMZ reports that Sharon Murphy suggested that her daughter had issues with diabetes.  They are still working on the confirmation to the death and diabetes connection.  Sources suggest that diabetes would not cause substantial vomiting and sudden cardiac arrest at the extent seen as TMZ supplies pieces to this puzzling death.  However, the autopsy may not fully reach the connection between diabetes and Brittany Murphy's death.

Throughout the day the world would learn the sad news of Brittany Murphy's deadly heart attack.

Brittany Murphy's death is unfortunately real and is not a death hoax as you may have seen with Hugh Hefner, Lil Wayne or Miley Cyrus.  2009 has shown many confirmed deaths in high numbers.  This year Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, and less than one week ago Chris Henry died.  Brittany Murphy will be remembered by many as the bubbly, cute, intelligent and free minded spirit that could only bring sunshine during a rainy day with her smile.

As for an investigation surrounding the death of Brittany Murphy, today the LAPD has launched an investigation.  No further information has been supplied.

The above list is impressive for a young actress of 32-years-old and this does not include her television listings.  Brittany Murphy's husband is a British screenwriter.  They were married in 2007, just two years prior to her death.

The Atlanta, Georgia born actress will surely be missed by family, friends and fans.  Celebrities have begun responding to this sad news. 

Ashton Kutcher, her once off-screen boyfriend, shared a touching Twitter announcement today that could only reflect that of a close mourning friend.

"2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine.  My deepest condolences go out to Brittany's family, her husband, & amazing mother Sharon."

Updates:  Coroner's office concludes that it does not appear that any foul play has taken place as they suggest Brittany Murphy's body as "normal."  However, they are interested in the toxicology report that should return within six weeks.  The report should shed light as to what prescription medications Brittany Murphy has consumed.
