Man wins huge lottery, leaves wife out on the street, evicted

Lottery Winnings

Arnim Ramdass left his wife, Donna Campbell, after winning the lottery. His ticket made him almost half a million dollars richer. The house was foreclosed on, and Campbell evicted because Ramdass stopped paying the mortgage, and cut the cable and telephone off.

Campbell, a former beauty pagent contestant, said police haven't been able to locate her husband, but she believes he is still in the Florida area.

Ramdass bought a winning lottery ticket for a $19 million jackpot with his co-workers. They shared a lump sum of $10.2 million. Campbell's divorce petition states that her husband's net winnings were $449,511.95 after taxes. He kept his winnings secret from his wife.

Campbell never held the title on the house with her husband, nor was she entitled to any of his lottery winnings. When she found out he was hiding his lottery earnings from her, Campbell asked for her share, to which he answered no, and then left her to fend for herself.

Campbell told the Miami Herald, "I thought winning the lotto was supposed to bring together a family, a husband and his wife. But all I got was deception and lies."

A local moving company has offered to help her move out of the home she shared with Ramdass. There is no word where she will relocate at the present time.

Closer to home, in local Rhode Island news, a Warwick woman came forward to claim her $10,000 Powerball lottery winnings. The winning ticket was purchased from Shop ‘N’ Go at 636 West Shore Rd., Warwick. Another $10,000 ticket was also purchased, but the winner has not yet claimed their prize.
