Black Saturday is now the new Black Friday
Retailers are hoping the Saturday after Thanksgiving sale – also known as Black Saturday – will add to their Black Friday sales. The Walmart Saturday sale, Kmart sale, Target, Best Buy, Wrentham Outlets and other major box stores will have extended hours for the rest of the Thanksgiving weekend.
According to CNN Money, "J.C. Penney said that sales were strong at stores across the country on Black Friday. Top sellers included gemstone and gold jewelry, luggage sets, women's cashmere-blend pea coats and a device that projects TV images onto a blank wall."
"Retailers came out swinging for Black Friday, offering some of the holiday season's lowest prices on electronics, appliances, apparel and toys," said Tracy Mullin, president of the NRF, an industry trade group, in a statement. "Budget-focused shoppers seemed to be pleasantly surprised with post-Thanksgiving deals, which many retailers will extend into Saturday and even Sunday."
Online shopping will explode Monday – now called Cyber Monday – when many Americans, Rhode Islanders included, will take advantage of computers at work to shop for gifts.
Retailers are extending their Black Friday sales into what is now called Black Saturday. Sales were good on Black Friday, with televisions, laptops, clothing, video games, GPS,
The Eye Witness News reports, "The Warwick Target says they're already seeing a jump in sales over last year. Some other hot holiday items selling quickly today are snuggies, laptops and this year's must-have toy, the zhu zhu electronic hamster."
Rhode Island's Walmart Saturday sale started at 7:00am. Kohls opened at 6:00am, and Kmart will open at 7:00am both Saturday and Sunday morning. Wrentham Outlets Saturday sale opened at 8:00am Saturday, and will open at 9:00am Sunday.

I go to www.azzgrabber.com to watch Amazon for hot items like this. It's free and alerts you the instant an item is back in stock at the regular retail price. It's a lot better than standing in line at some store at midnight.
