Port Orange Police and the family of a missing woman announced they have increased the reward in her case to $10,000 for information on her whereabouts. missing since February.
Laurel Rogers was 26 years old when she was reported missing by her mother on February 2nd, 2010. Police said they have very little leads to go on in the case.
Her family said the last time they heard from her was when she left her house on Horizon View Boulevard in Port Orange on February 1st at around 8PM. Police said Laurel doesn't have access to a vehicle and she never goes for extended periods of time without contacting her family and friends.
No one knows if she left her home on foot or with someone in a vehicle.
The only clue Police have in the case is the GPS on her cell phone pinged on a cell phone tower in New Port Richey in the days following her disappearance. Since that time there has been no activity on the cell phone.
Police have released a store surveillance tape that caught Laurel on the night she disappeared showing her with the last clothes she was known to be wearing. She was wearing a purple T-shirt with a multi-colored design on the right front. She had a long-sleeve lavender colored T-shirt under the purple shirt. She was also wearing faded blue jeans.
Laurel suffers from Lupus and her mother said she did not take her medication with her the night she was last heard from. Her family also said her clothes and personal belongings were left in her home indicating she wasn't planning to leave for a long period of time.
