The Tylenol recall 2010 has been compared to the 1982 Tylenol recall. Luckily, there's nothing lethal about the Johnson & Johnson products that are currently under recall - unlike the 1982 recall. However, the event is somewhat embarrassing to one of America's largest pharmaceutical companies.
According to the Christian Science Monitor, the company hasn't responded to customer complaints with the urgency you would expect. Consumers have been complaining about a musty, mildew-like odor for months.
It has been reported that the company took twenty months to respond to claims, and that was only after an FDA investigation found problems with the Johnson & Johnson facilities.
The company has done some testing, but none on the actual products themselves. The recall that was announced late in 2009 was expanded just yesterday.

How do Davidson County residents feel about the recall? I went to a local Walgreen's and spoke with a lady that was in the pain reliever aisle. She wishes to remain anonymous, but she said that because of the recall she wouldn't be purchasing Johnson & Johnson products for a while. She is going to purchase the Walgreen's brand products for the time being.
