A couple weeks ago, 3 Tennessee football players were arrested for an alleged armed robbery, along with a female who drove the getaway car (a Prius). While the case has moved on and investigations have continued, criminal charges are being dropped against freshman safety Janzen Jackson.
Jackson's lawyer contends that his client was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nu'Keese Richards and Mike Edwards are the two suspects that allegedly carried out the armed robbery. Charges have also been dropped against the female getaway driver.
What isn't certain is whether or not Janzen Jackson will be allowed back on the Tennessee football team. Although he's a promising star, his association with the two alleged armed robbers has tainted the reputation of the Tennessee football program.
Hopefully Jackson has learned his lesson and won't be in the "wrong place at the wrong time" again. Hopefully this serves as a powerful reminder that sometimes who we associate with can determine our future.
