Adam Lambert on The Early Show was met with a lot of anticipation. The Early Show interview with Adam Lambert's discussed the AMA performance that was controversial, and has almost divided music fans. On one hand, there are those that think that the AMA performance choreographed by Adam Lambert was blatantly inappropriate and a disgrace to the musician's talent. Others applaud Adam Lambert for pushing the envelope and not backing down and aplogizing in the wake of the controversial performance.
Lambert told CNN that his controversial man-on-man kiss was "in the moment" and was the result of an adrenaline rush. He also expressed disappointment in "double standards" set by the music industry, citing that women entertainers have been pushing the envelope for decades with little to no uproar.
Adam Lambert's AMA performance caused such an uproar that ABC's Good Morning America canceled his appearance that was scheduled this morning. CBS realized that a unique opportunity to speak with Lambert was handed to them on a silver platter and scheduled the musician for this morning's The Early Show.
If Adam Lambert could re-live the 2009 American Music Awards, would he do anything different? The singer told The Early Show the only thing he would do different is sing better, because it wasn't his strongest vocal performance.
Lambert also told the show that he has a tendency to divide people. Whether or not this is a good trait has yet to be seen. However - Lambert isn't lying! His 10 minute performance was enough to spawn almost 2 days of dialogue and debate over the appropriateness of the AMA performance.
