I can see his point. However, the performance wasn't appropriate for network prime time TV. It's not that it wasn't a great performance, it's just that the venue was inappropriate. I also don't think that Adam Lambert is experiencing a double standard. After all, Britney Spears and Madonna were heavily scrutinized for their 2003 VMA smooch.
The Adam Lambert AMA video should make Nashville proud of country music. Nashville is very proud of Taylor Swift, Gloriana, Rascal Flatts, and Keith Urban for their spectacular AMA wins.

People like Adam Lambert and other misbehaving morons (i.e., Kayne West) are what is wrong with today's 'pop music'. ABC should be fined heavily for turning it's back on decency. But, of course, this is the network that brings us such "fine programming" as Desperate Housewives, among other things.
So its ok for desperate housewives to show sex acts on tv but not for a gay man? double standards.
Daytime TV soap operas have always shown sexy/sexual acts implied. Adam was fully clothed and it was just a performance. People need to get over themselves! If you don't like it, don't buy his music but stop being so shocked. This is almost 2010 and some people act like it is the 1950's.
Are you people serious? You can't compare his act with other TV shows. Those shows have ratings which warn people about there content. Children were watching that performance waiting to see there favorite musicians. How are parents supposed to let their children watch and awards show when that kind of garbage is going on.

Adam Lambert is attempting to compensate for his insecurityand need for attention with shocking, demeaning acts. It's not an issue of same-sex moves or not. It's the fact he resorts to S and M. He needs to grow up but by the time he does he will be a blip that's past.

First of all, my grandfather, uncle, father, cousin, and 2 brothers have all fought in various conflicts over the years and to my recollection they were not fighting for the right to air sex acts(on any channel at any time) on tv. Second, I feel it's sad that when I was a child and teenager I was allowed to stay up at night to watch the award shows. My grandparents who raised me even taped them for me. Now I have to send my children to bed so they don't see men in leather on leashes and womens heads being pushed into preformers private areas. I do not fault Adam Lambert for his artistic expression or his individuality but I do feel this was strictly for media purposes. And I don't think the AMA's was the time or place for that type of expression. And I don't blame ABC one bit for pulling him from their morning show. I agree with the decision and support it. If Adam Lambert feels the need for those types of outlets then save them for videos.
Here is my issue. Over all the AMA awards were very well done. However when it came to the end of the show and Adam came out the entire up beat feeling in the theater changed. I was a support of Adams until last Sunday night. It was so over the tip and ridiculous that I left disapointed in the network and I felt sorry for the rest of the performers that the show was tainted and even runied by Adam and his need to make sure that the guy population is once again deamonised by the rest of the world. Congrats Adams you have just set back all the advanced for aceptance in this world 50 years. It was not necessary trust me!!
I personally didn't care whether is gay or not, the kiss didn't bother me or phase me at all. My problem is with the head/crotch rubbing, thong popping, and the middle finger. I'm just really glad my child didn't walk through the living room at that time to see it. If he want's to do this during his performances that's fine, but he needs to take into consideration his audience. During that time of night on those channels, there are kids watching and that was not kid appropriate. Save it for late night or HBO!

First of all...why were anyone's children up this late on a school night?We all know there are risky performances on most awards shows.I'm sure most of the performers are expecting adults to be watching.YOU make that choice for yourself and your children.The world is a different place now,deal with it.Let people be who they are.
The AMA did have a TV14 rating-parents talk to your children-and you decide what they should and should not watch. It's that simple. I'm a mother of 4 ages 8 to 20. Be aware of the music, tv, video games and friends they spend time with. Adam's extremely talented, I saw nothing wrong, it was a tv14 rating. Communication is the key.
