The 2009 American Music Awards will be a battle for Country Music's Taylor Swift. While Taylor Swift has shut-out nearly each music award ceremony this year, do you think she will win the 2009 American Music Award for Performer of the year? Beating out Michael Jackson will be an amazing feat, as his music has consumed the world ever since his death at the end of June.
Taylor Swift also goes head-to-head against Beyonce once again. Will she win again, or will Beyonce win the 2009 American Music Award for Favorite Female Artist - Pop/Rock? Hopefully Kanye West won't be there to either scrutinize the decision or rub the decision in Swift's face.
Taylor Swift is also up for Favorite Female Artist - Country Music against veteran Reba McEntire and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood. I have to say that I am a big Reba fan, but I still think Taylor Swift has a good shot at walking away with this award as well.

I love Taylor Swift
I really hope Taylor win every award she's nominated for. Don't get me wrong I love MJ and he sold a lot of records this year but it's old music, he won a lot of awards for that music when he was alive.
I think MJ shouldn't even be nominated any ama this year. Dun get me wrong, i love MJ music and still miss him. But cos he has shined very brightly in his time, this year should be new generation year and he should not interrupt the new stars shining. His time is over. Maybe this year should be taylor. NO STAR CAN SHINE EVERY TIME.
