Police say a tornado may have touched down in a commercial area of Beaumont, Texas today and its effects sent several people to the hospital.
The twister collapsed a department store roof, overturned cars and scattered debris throughout a mall parking lot. Injured customers sat along a curb near the store, with one woman being taken from the stretcher with visible cuts to her face.
The closest hospital, Christus St. Elizabeth, told reporters that fewer than ten patients are there and all are in stable condition.
Video from a local television station shows a tornado touched down at a Kohl's Department Store, skipped over a Wal-Mart and continued on to Parkdale Mall.
