Brian David Mitchell, the man charged with the 2002 abduction of Elizabeth Smart, will face his third competency hearing since his initial arrest in 2003.
The 10-day hearing that will feature law enforcement officers, psychiatrists and relatives providing their opinions of Mitchell, starts Monday in Salt Lake City.
U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball will preside over the hearing and will eventually decide if Mitchell is mentally competent to stand trial.
The 56-year-old Mitchell claims to be a prophet of God.
