The 2010 Emmy Awards red carpet handbags were classic and understated this year. Emmy winners and Emmy nominees either chose crystal Judith Leiber clutches or they had a matching clutch sewn out of the same fabric as their dress. The Judith Leiber clutches and handbags on the Emmy Awards red carpet were starkly conservative; a nod to the current minimalism trend and return to understated classic dressing.
Fabulous red carpet celebrities such as Kris Jenner, wore a shiny charcoal, geometric Judith Leiber clutch that blended into her dark dress. Eva Longoria carried a classic Judith Leiber, black crystal clutch that could easily have been sitting in her closet and have been worn to several other fabulous events. Catherine O'Neil, wife to Ed O'Neil who currently stars on "Modern Family" and rose to fame as Al Bundy on "Married with Children," also chose to wear a classic black crystal Judith Leiber clutch. Julie Bow, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series chose to wear a classic silver crystal Judith Leiber clutch. Jeanne Fisher from "The Office" wore a fabulous gold clutch with a large, gold tonal emblem. Tina Rey wore a classic, black satin flat clutch that she discreetly kept tucked under her arm. Amber Riley had the most unique evening clutch of the evening. Riley's clutch was a beautiful mix of varying sized sequins sewn in rows that was anything but understated.
Although Handbag Fashionistas were looking for something fabulous and new for Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 from the handbags on the Emmy Awards red carpet, the only real glimpse we saw into the future was Sarah Hyland's fabulous Judith Leiber clutch which gave a nod to the upcoming, Spring 2011, pastel and feminine trend.
The classic, Judith Leiber clutches that graced the Emmy Awards red carpet were classic and simple. Giving Fashionistas a reason to go with classic and simple lines for evening bags as we move into the Holiday season this Fall and Winter.
