And the winners are: Rebecca Bross and Maxim Devyatovskiy took the titles at the 2010 American Cup, held this weekend in Worcester, Mass. (Examiner.com)

American Cup truths: Andrew Thornton on the men's competition: Challengers Alexandra Raisman and Chris Brooks rather stole the show from established stars Rebecca Bross and Jonathan Horton. (Andy's Angle on American Gymnast)

American Cup truths II: Aunt Joyce's hilarious and insightful commentary on the "Weekend in Worcester." (Aunt Joyce's Ice Cream Stand)

American Cup truths III: The Couch Gymnast on Raisman's beam, Yuko Shintake's floor and Alicia Sacramone's hair. (The Couch Gymnast)

American Cup truths IV: My own commentary on the surprising/not so surprising things about the 2010 American Cup. (Examiner.com)

Live thoughts from Universal Sports's Coverage of the American Cup: On the perils of streaming things online, and routine recaps. (Examiner.com)

Super Lexie: Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy's Lexie Priessman showed she'd mastered some big skills (full in off beam, full twisting double layout off bars, double-twisting Yurchenko vault) on her way to winning the Nastia Liukin Supergirl Cup, held the night before the American Cup. (Examiner.com)

The return of Yulia Lozhechko: The 2007 European beam champion was left off the 2008 Olympic team in rather spectacular fashion, with the Russian National Andrei Rodianenko coach taking the time to announce publicly that she would not contend be named to the team. Hasn't seemed to deter her -- Lozhechko competed at the recent Central Regional in Russia (won of course by Viktoria Komova) to rather unspectacular results. She may continue, but she's got heavy junior competition, and I'd guess that we've seen the last of her internationally. (Andy's Angle on American Gymnast)

Natalia Laschenova is having Visa problems: The former Soviet star, arguably one of the best of the 1980s, was shocked to find that U.S. Immigration had denied her application to renew her green card, which she has used to work in the U.S. -- most recently at Ohio's Integrity Gymnastics -- for the past decade. Laschenova, who has a two-week old daughter, is currently working with an attorney. The gymnastics community seems to be in shock that such a thing could happen to a coach of such ability.(International Gymnast)

The Deva gymnastics factory: A translated interview with Romanian national coach Nicolae Forminte. (Fan Gymnastics)

And the honorees are: The five gymnasts to be inducted into the International Gymnastics Hall of Fame this year are American Cathy Rigby, Hungarian great Henrietta Onodi, two-time World Champion Yuri Korolev, nine-time Olympic medalist Mikhail Voronin, now deceased, and gymnastics photographer Eileen Langsley. New floor routines: From Rebecca Bross and Alexandra Raisman. (Examiner.com)

Second issue of The Couch Gymnast Magazine: Features interviews with Maike Roll, Serena Licchetta and Nicola Cairns, among others. (The Couch Gymnast Magazine)

English Championships results: 2009 World floor champion Beth Tweddle easily posted the highest scores on both events, while new seniors Danusia Francis, Jennifer Pinches and Nicole Hibbert went 1-2-3 in the all-around. (Gymnastics Issues)

Hambuchen satisfied with American Cup results: His performance lacked some of the dynamism of previous years, but Fabian Hambuchen told the German press that he was happy with his competition, noting that he will increase his difficulty, especially on vault and high bar, later in the season. (Frankfurter Rundschau)

International Gymnix results: The men's competition was dominated by a group of Japanese up-and-comers, including Shusuke Kikuchi, who won floor exercise, parallel bars champion Kyoichi Watanabe and Kohei Kameyama, who posted the highest score on high bar. Canadians Nathan Gafiuk and Kevin Lytwyn won vault and rings, respectively, while Hungary's Kristian Berki took the title on pommel horse, his signature event. (International Gymnast)

Straight out of "Stick It": Street gymnastics in London; (GymNiceTic)

Cairns hoping to make Commonwealth team: 2008 British Olympian Imogen Cairns, fresh off an injury that benched her for the past 15 months, is hoping to make the team being sent to Delhi, India, in early October. The Commonwealth Games have a special place in Cairns's heart, because at the 2006 Commonwealths in Melbourne, Australia, she had one of her best competition results, winning gold on vault. (British Gymnastics)

Stone injured: 2004 Canadian Olympian Kylie Stone, who has struggled through an injury-filled four years at Nebraska, had surgery following a leg injury sustained during warmups at the Masters Classic Feb. 28. Her season is likely finished. (Lincoln Journal Star)

Barkalov best at Russian Cup: Russia's Dmitry Barkalov was the top all-around and floor gymnast at last weekend's 2010 Russian Championships. Olympic bronze medalist Anton Golotsutskov won vault, one of his best events. Several relative unknowns won other apparatuses, including Matvei Petrov (pommel horse), Alexander Balandin (rings), Andrei Likhovitsky (parallel bars) and Mikhail Bodnar (high bar). Dmitry Gogotov, second all-around, and Andrei Cherkasov, third, did not capture any event titles. (International Gymnast)

Two Oklahoma upsets, two different results for the Sooners: In NCAA women's gymnastics, No. 2 Oklahoma upset no. 1 Alabama, while the Stanford men continued to make their case as a contender for the 2010 NCAA championships, pulling an Oklahoma upset themselves. An NCAA gymnastics weekend in review is pending. (Examiner.com)
