Stranded gymnasts: A handful of NCAA meets were canceled this past weekend due to the snowstorms that are blanketing some regions of the country. Iowa State actually made it to their meet with Pittsburgh, then took eight hours to get back to their Pennsylvania hotel after a team dinner at a restaurant 15 minutes away. Yikes. Metroplex Challenge results: Texan Caitlin Atkinson was the best all-around gymnast at the 2010 Metroplex Challenge, a great meet for spotting new talent. Malaysian gymnasts improving: Malaysian National coach Pavel Todorov is happy with the improvement he's seeing the country's men's program, which has not entered many international tournaments during the past several years.
