It's hard to say which is the bigger story of the 2010 SEC Championships: that Florida won or Alabama lost. Florida overcame adversity after a mediocre vault performance and two falls on balance beam from freshman Liz Green, but came back to hit floor (highlight: freshman Marissa King's double layout) to take the SEC crown away from Alabama, the most consistently high-scoring team in the country during the regular season.

Georgia, which has been plauged by momentum problems all season, had to count a low score on bars from Cassidy McComb and near-fall on beam from senior Courtney McCool and finished third. Georgia's results were better individually -- McCool came back and won floor (9.95), while Kat Ding won bars (9.925), Hilary Mauro tied Alabama's Morgan Dennis and LSU's Susan Jackson on vault (9.9), Grace Taylor was second on beam (9.925) behind all-around winner Ashley Priess of Alabama (9.95).

Priess, a member of the U.S.'s 2006 World team, won the all-around competition (39.5), ahead of Florida freshman Ashanee Dickerson (39.45) and Arkansas star Casey Jo Magee (39.4). Bama's Morgan Dennis and King tied for fourth (39.325). LSU's Susan Jackson, considered the top all-arounder in the country by many, was eighth (39.2) after sustaining a 9.55 on floor.
