Gymnastics photographer Michael Lawler was back in action this past weekend, shooting the Pittsburgh Panthers and the UNC Tar Heels Sunday at the University of North Carolina.
Here's a quick rundown of what happened at that meet:
North Carolina scored a very respectable 195.65 against east coast rival Pitt (193.55) and swept the podium on balance beam and floor exercise. UNC's Zoya Johnson won vault (9.825) and tied sophomore teammate Elizabeth Durkac for the title on bars (9.825).
Durkac won beam in her own right (9.85), and Kristin Aloi was the top gymnast on floor (9.875).
UNC's Morgan Evans won the all-around (39.225) over teammate Krista Jasper and Pittsburgh's Alicia Talucci. (UNC Tar Heels)
