5:04 p.m.: Miranda Meyer update. Meyer had elbow surgery a bit ago and competed at the Wild Rose Invitational against the likes of Deng Linlin and the Chinese in early April. However, it was felt that perhaps she was rushed back a bit fast and needed a bit more time.

4:27 p.m.: Rotation four:

Mikaela Gerber, vault: Very clean Yurchenko layout with hop back.

Sabrina Gill, vault: Good Yurchenko full with small hop back. Good Yurchenko layout.

Shae Zamardi, vault: Yurchenko full with a hop. Good tucked Omelianchik second vault.

Briannah Tsang, vault: Yurchenko 1.5 with a step forward. First one we've seen today. Piked Podkopayeva, very well done. This one is a good vault/floor candidate.

Emily Lennon, vault: Handspring front tuck with a hop forward. Handspring front tuck half.

Anna Gamelo, bars: Hit routine. Lots of pirouetting skills. Double pike dismount.

Silvia Colussi-Pelaez, bars: Stalder to bail, a bit of form. Ray. Double pike. Nice routine from her to end her day.

Sabrina Tomassini, bars: Double pike dismount with a step back.

Bianca Jordaan, bars: Fall on Tkatchev.

Melissa Fontaine, beam: Bhs, layout. Side aerial. Side somie, wobble but brought it under control. Switch, back tuck. Scissone, wolf. Front full layout dismount.

Ryann Lewis, beam: Fall, but I didn't see it.

Samantha Ward, beam: Moving well. Off on a turn -- looked like she was attempting an Okino, but it might have been a double even so...

Kaitlyn Hofland, beam: Off on back buck, bhs combo.

Demi Pas, floor: Wrong music for her too. Cute choreo with a kind of robot theme. Hand down on 2.5 twist opener. Double pike. Switch, Tourjete half. Punch front to 1.5 twist. Snuck around her double tuck.

Taylor Ricci, floor: Good lift on her double pike opener. Double full. Tourjete full. 1.5 to front full layout. Switch, switch half. Triple twist to end.

Ellie Black, floor: Wrong music plays. Ellie smiles. Sits down handspring double front. Handspring fouble full. Clean 2.5.

Natalie Vaculik, floor: Driving beat to haunting music. Nice double pike. 1.5 to barani. Switch, switch side. 2.5 with a step to the side.

Paraskevi Babalis, floor: Greek medley. Double pike. 1.5 to double full. One of the smallest gymnasts here. Front kickover in her dance. Running front full, a little sloppy.

4:00 p.m.: Rotation three:

Paige Blaney, vault: Yurchenko layout and handspring front pike, I believe.

Anna Gamelo, vault: Good Yurchenko full with hop back. She stuck it in warmups. Yurchenko layout second vault.

Silvia Colussi-Pelsaez, vault: Missed it.

Sabrina Tomassini, vault: Handspring front tuck to good landing.

Bianca Jordaan, vault: Good handspring front tuck second vault. Hug from coach.

Melissa Fontaine, bars: Hit routine with double pike dismount.

Ryann Lewis, bars: Form breaks throughout. Missed handstand pirouette early in routine and had to cover and repeat.

Samantha Ward, bars: Fall on Tkatchev (or was it a Hindorff?) Full turn to immediate Pak (legs apart), double twist dismount.

Kaitlyn Hofland, bars: Fall on piked Jaeger. Too bad -- she has impeccable form on this event. Double twist dismount, lovely.

Ellie Black, beam: Bhs, layout to two feet, nice. Front pike, wobble. Side somie. This is really her event! Ah, but then a fall...

Natalie Vaculik, beam: Wolf, scissone. Full turn. Lovely basics. Switch side. Roundoff double full dismount.

Demi Pas, beam: Pretty handstand split mount. Little nervousness at the beginning here. Back pike, solid. Fall on front aerial. Bhs, layout, wobble. Switch, cissone. Illusion, fights for it but falls again.Fall again on punch front. Roundoff, 1.5. Tough routine for her.

Sabrina Gill, floor: Full in. 2.5 punch front. Double tuck. Arabian style music. Double pike to end. Very good.

Shae Zamardi, floor: Full in pike. Soft piano music to start. 2.5 punch front, nice. Double turn with leg up. Very classical look on this routine. Triple turn, stag jump. Good double tuck. Double pike, step back. Nice routine.

Briannah Tsang, floor: Hit routine to fast paced Latin music. Good 2.5 to punch front second pass. Double pike. Whoa -- full twisting double pike to end! Did I see that right? Wow, what a finish.

Emily Lennon, floor: "My Drag" music (Morgan White and Jamie Dantzcher, 1999). Double tuck. Switch, switch side half. They've sped the cut up...2.5 twist. Switch half. Double full. Running front double full.

Mikaela Gerber, floor: Triple full, good. Dramatic piece of music. OOB on 1.5 to 2.5. Handspring front layout full to stag jump. Switch side. Hands down on double pike. Fourth pass, and she's a taller gymnast...it's hard.

3:33 p.m.: Rotation two:

Samantha Ward, vault: Yurchenko layout with step back. Better second Yurchenko layout vault.

Kaitlyn Hoflan, vault: Sat down tucked Omelianchik.

Natalie Vaculik, bars: Another hugely long wait. Natalie is doing handstands, high knees, whatever to keep herself warm. Gorgeous Geinger. Great toe hecht to high. Blind, front giant, little form, double pike with steps back. Really pretty routine from Kristina Vaculik's little sister.

Paraskevi Babalis, bars: Couldn't get over on a front giant (maybe an invert?) and falls. Bars is taking forever.

Demi Pas, bars: Huge wait times for bars so far...good front stalder. Double pike dismount.

Briannah Tsang, beam: Back tuck. Two layout stepouts from standing position. Side somie with legs straight. Full tunw ith leg up. Bhs step out to double full dismount.

Emily Lennon, beam: Leap on. Switch, cissone, wolf. Front aerial, side aerial. Switch half. Almost falls on back tuck. Rudi dismount. Original.

Sabrina Gill, beam: Split, straddlke. Siwtch., Back tuck, little wobble. Front aerial, bjs layout, small check, not bad. Wobble on full turn. Switch ring. Switch side. Puinch front. Double pike with good landing.

Shae Zamardi, beam: Bhs, back tuck. Side aerial. Switch side. Double tuck off, fall, not enough height or rotation.

Silvia Colussi-Pelaez, floor: Wrong music plays for her at the beginning. Stepped out on combination mount that ernded ni double full. Good double pike. Classical piece, a little jazzy. Front handspring, front layout to cissone. Double tuck. Too bad about the step out.

Sabrina Tomassini, floor: Full in. Double pike. Crisp on both passes. Dancing to music from Cirque. Front tuck to double full. Double tuck to her hands. Darn -- she had a great routine going. Just a bit too fatigued by the end. Like her leo too -- black, long sleeves, acid green on one shoulder.

Bianca Jordaan, floor: Nice full in to open. Double full. 2.5 to end. Nice routine from this Oakville gymnast.

Paige Blaney, floor: Opened with double pike, closed with double tuck. Jazzy music.

Anna Gamelo, floor: Nice presence and choreo. Double tuck, small steps back. Good double pike. Double turn. 1.5 to front full layout. 2.5 with step forward. Nice routine.

3:05 p.m.: And we're underway! Rotation one:

Paraskevi Babalis, vault: Yurchenko pike.

Sabrina Tomassini, beam: Switch side. Side aerial. Switch, cissone. Bhs, layout, wobble. Sheep.

Samantha Ward, floor: Front double full. Double pike, step forward. 2.5, step forward. Two bhs to good double tuck with a step. Nice dismount.

Demi Pas, vault: Yurchenko layout, step back.

Mikaela Gerber, bars: Looks so much like her sister...Toe stalder to Pak. Toe hecht to high. Fall on Tkatchev. Double pike, step back.

Bianca Jordan, beam: Split leap on. Punch front, fall. Wolf, split, wobble. Switch, back tuck. Double full off.

Victoria Moors, floor: She must have scratched. Hofland is going second on floor. Too bad! I was looking forward to the double double!

Taylor Ricci, vault: Yurchenko full, step back. Handspring front tuck second vault.

Sabrina Gill, bars: Aah, didn't see that either.

Paige Blaney, beam: Jump handstand mount. Punch front, wobble. Front aerial, wobble. Bhs, layout.

Kaitlyn Hofland, floor: Double pike, step forward. Bounced out of her second pass.

Ellie Black, vault: Handspring front pike half, well done. Tsuk layout second vault.

Shae Zamardi, bars: Mount to high bar, Pak. Toe stalder, Ray. Blind, Markelov. Nice Arabian double front with the twist on the first somersault.

Anna Gamelo, beam: Fall on roundoff, layout to two feet mount. Shame. Double turn, nice. Bhs, layout, leg comes up but she saves it. Side aerial. Back tuck. 2.5 twist.

Melissa Fontaine, floor: Double pike. Front layout, front full. Switch, switch side? 1.5 twist. Double turn. Double tuck.

Natalie Vaculik, vault: Didn't see it, shoot.

Briannah Tsang, bars: Long long wait for her. Jump to high bar. Tkatchev. Toe stalder full. Pak. Ray. Blind, front giant, double front to her bottom. Bits of form here and there throughout, particularly a leg separation on the blind.

3:02 p.m.: The judges are marching in.

KAMLOOPS, B.C., 2:41 p.m. -- Is red the new pink? There's a lot of classic Canadian red here during the junior qualification round. Brandon's Ryann Lewis, who just did a very nice roundoff, double tuck off beam, is in a shiny long sleeved red leotard with a silver flower print to the side (think Ariella Kaeslin's side printed butterflies, and there you go.) Come to think of it, could that silver butterfly?

Other red looks are the red long sleeved with the shiny silver maple leaf on the chest, and a very classic plain red leotard with a square neckline. The Russians wore red at the European Championships and were very successful.

Welcome to Examiner.com's live coverage of the 2010 Canadian Championships! Up today are the women's junior and senior qualifications. The juniors are just getting underway, while the senior competiton will begin at 7 p.m. this evening. I'll be here jotting notes and quotes of the happenings all evening. Please check back often for the latest.

Marilyn -- Unfortunately I can't post links in the comments, but if you go to Twitter.com/GymnasticsBC, you can find links to the long lists for both juniors and seniors.
